News KD Navien launches its “Dehumidifying Ventilation Air Purifier,” ushering in the arrival of an all-season air care solution
Jan 8, 2026

[July, 2025] Optimize Living & Environment—KD Navien announced the launch of its new product, the “Navien Dehumidifying Ventilation Air Purifier.” With just one unit, it delivers air purification, ventilation, and even ‘comfortable dehumidification,’ offering a unique all-season air care solution.

■ The Journey Toward “Integrated Air Quality Management”

Driven by its vision to “Optimize Living & Environment,” KD Navien has been creating living solutions that bring comfort not only to homes and cities but to the global environment as well. For the company, “comfort” means integrated management of life’s essentials—“air” and “water”—delivered in a way that best fits each customer’s lifestyle and personal preferences. To achieve this, KD Navien focuses on “integrated air quality management,” optimizing both air quality (purity) and condition (temperature and humidity) to deliver cleaner, healthier air.

That journey began with heating: in 1988, the company developed Asia’s first “condensing boiler,” taking a leadership role in improving air quality. The condensing boiler delivers over 92% energy efficiency, reducing gas consumption by 19% compared to traditional boilers. It also reduces harmful emissions—cutting nitrogen oxides (NOx) by 87%, carbon monoxide (CO) by 70%, and carbon dioxide by 19%, respectively. Its parent company, KD One, has also contributed to creating urban green spaces through its artificial soil “Paraso.” In 2006, the company ventured into the ventilation market to strengthen indoor air quality management, and after years of R&D, launched the “Navien Clean Ventilation System” in 2019, now known as the Ventilation Air Purifier, combining air purification and ventilation in one. Then in 2021, it rolled out “Navien Magic Plus,” integrating its “3D Air Hood” with the “Navien Ventilation Air Purifier,” enabling even “cooking fumes” to be managed as part of an integrated air quality solution.

■ Leading the Paradigm of “Comfortable Dehumidification” with the “Dual Dehumidification Solution”

In July 2025, KD Navien once again reshaped the air quality market with the launch of the “Navien Dehumidifying Ventilation Air Purifier (hereinafter Dehumidifying Ventilation Air Purifier),” adding advanced “dehumidification” capabilities to its existing ventilation air purifier. KD Navien moved into “humidity” control in response to the rising number of hot, humid days—conditions now often described as “subtropical”—which have made dehumidification more essential than ever. Until now, air conditioners and conventional dehumidifiers have been the go-to solutions for humidity control, but because they cannot independently regulate temperature and humidity, they often cause indoor temperatures to drop too low or rise unnecessarily.

The Navien Dehumidifying Ventilation Air Purifier maintains a stable indoor temperature while keeping relative humidity (constant-temperature dehumidification) at the optimal comfort range of 40–60%. At the core of this innovation is the company’s “Dual Dehumidification” technology. It combines two processes: first, using refrigerants to condense water vapor into liquid water (cooling-based, condensation dehumidification), and using a desiccant rotor to adsorb remaining moisture(desiccant dehumidification). This dual process delivers exceptional dehumidification performance, enabling comfortable humidity control without altering indoor temperature. By maintaining optimal humidity levels, the system lowers the perceived temperature, helping reduce the need for excessive cooling in the summer.

The “Navien Dehumidifying Ventilation Air Purifier” also raises the bar for consumer convenience. Connected to diffusers throughout the home, the 28-liter large-capacity unit manages humidity for the entire household, eliminating the need to move devices from room to room. It also features an automatic drainage system, solving the hassle of manually emptying water tanks required by conventional dehumidifiers.

■ “All-Season Air Care Solution”: Dehumidification, Ventilation, and Air Purification in One

The “Navien Dehumidifying Ventilation Air Purifier” delivers an all-in-one solution, combining dehumidification, ventilation, and air purification. This integration allows it to manage not only fine dust and harmful gases but also indoor humidity, bacteria, and viruses helping maintain clean, comfortable air all year round. First, polluted indoor air is expelled outdoors, while a high-performance dehumidification rotor recovers up to 88% of cooling energy and 79% of heating energy, contributing significantly to energy savings. Incoming air from outside is purified through a five-stage filtration system before being supplied fresh into the home. In the process, it also blocks excess humidity from entering the home. At the same time, its built-in purification system ensures that indoor air is thoroughly cleaned. All of these processes are automated by the system’s “Air Monitor,” which continuously analyzes real-time air quality, including fine dust, ultrafine particles, radon, and humidity.

When paired with the “3D Air Hood” of “Navien Magic,” the system becomes the “Navien Dehumidifying Ventilation Air Purifier Magic Plus (Magic Plus),” capable of managing cooking fumes, one of the biggest sources of indoor air pollution. As cooking begins, the 3D Air Hood automatically forms downward air curtains from three sides to prevent fumes from spreading indoors, while the purifier expels the fumes outside and simultaneously brings in fresh, filtered air. In fact, using Magic Plus reduces ultrafine particle emissions by up to 97% in the kitchen and 91% in the living room.

Meanwhile, the “Navien Dehumidifying Ventilation Air Purifier” earned recognition for its outstanding energy-saving performance, winning the “Energy Technology Award” at the “28th Energy Winner Awards.” The award, hosted by “Consumers Korea” and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Environment, and the Korea Energy Agency, recognizes products that make significant contributions to energy savings and carbon reduction.

■ “Dehumidifying Ventilation Air Purifier” as the Hub of Navien’s Integrated Air Quality Management

The “Dehumidifying Ventilation Air Purifier” is expected to become the central hub of KD Navien’s next-generation “living environment solutions.” It will serve not only as the hub of integrated air quality management but also as the connective link across Navien’s entire ecosystem—ranging from boilers for heating and hot water, to Navien Magic’s cooktops and hoods, to sleep-enhancing smart mattresses, and even full home-network systems for smarter living. Through this integration, Navien’s diverse portfolio will seamlessly interconnect, with the purifier playing a key role in ensuring optimal synergy across all solutions.

The company is also preparing an evolution of the product into a “Condensing Air Conditioner,” adding full cooling functionality to the dehumidification and purification platform. This unique solution consolidates the functions of an air conditioner, dehumidifier, air purifier, and ventilation system into a single Condensing Air Conditioner, delivering outstanding energy savings compared to conventional ACs.

KD Navien is also launching the Dehumidifying Ventilation Air Purifier as a subscription-based product, making its “integrated air quality management solutions” more accessible to consumers. The subscription program, which already covers the Ventilation Air Purifier, the 3D Air Hood, and Magic Plus, will soon expand to include boilers, Navien Mat, and more.

At the same time, KD Navien is rolling out a nationwide TV commercial featuring Ma Dong-seok (Don Lee), a Korean actor, to connect with consumers around the product launch. The commercial playfully highlights the purifier’s strengths by showing the actor battling humid, polluted summer air—emphasizing its ability to deliver fresh, “cool and dry” comfort even in the hottest months.

“Our Dehumidifying Ventilation Air Purifier is designed to deliver the new value of ‘comfortable dehumidification’ in line with evolving lifestyle trends. Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen our ‘integrated air quality management solutions’ with this product at the core, reaffirming our role as a true partner fully ready to optimize living and environment,” commented Kim Yong-bum, Chief Sales and Marketing Executive at KD Navien.
