[April 1, 2025] Optimize Living & Environment—KD Navien is launching subscription services for the “3D Air Hood,” the “Ventilation Air Purifier,” and the combined system, “Ventilation Air Purifier Magic Plus.” This month, KD Navien launched “Navien Magic,” a new line of kitchen appliances including electric and gas stoves, range hoods, electric ovens, and microwave ovens in addition to its existing boiler business. It is now strengthening its presence in the kitchen appliance sector by introducing subscription services.

In October 2023, KD Navien launched its “Rental Care Service” for Ventilation Air Purifiers to ease the burden of one-time purchases and ensure regular maintenance, such as filter replacement. With the introduction of Navien Magic, the company has expanded the range of products eligible for managed services and shifted to a subscription-based model that offers greater flexibility in both usage periods and service options, tailored to each customer’s needs.

KD Navien’s “3D Air Hood” is designed to effectively control cooking fumes, one of the main causes of indoor air pollution. It creates air curtains in three directions—front and both sides—to block the spread of fine dust, harmful substances, and odors generated during cooking, ensuring a more pleasant indoor environment. Customers interested in subscribing to the “3D Air Hood” can choose a subscription period ranging from 3 to 6 years and select a care cycle of 6 to 12 months. Monthly subscription fees range from KRW 22,900 to KRW 24,900 depending on the subscription length and care interval, with additional discounts available for partner card users. The care service includes steam cleaning to remove grease from the hood surface, maintenance of blower and filters, replacement and cleaning of consumables, and phytoncide deodorization.

The Ventilation Air Purifier, previously available under a rental care model, has now been upgraded to a full subscription service. The Ventilation Air Purifier is an “indoor air quality management solution” that provides both air purification and ventilation features. It purifies indoor air while simultaneously filtering and supplying clean outdoor air through a UV-LED-equipped filtration system. Unlike conventional air purifiers designed to clean only indoor air and that must be placed in each room, this device has the capacity to manage the air quality of the entire home with a single unit. Depending on the subscription term (3 to 6 years) and care frequency (6 to 12 months), the service is available for a monthly fee in the KRW 30,000 range, with free maintenance included throughout the contract period.

KD Navien is also introducing subscription services for the “Ventilation Air Purifier Magic Plus,” which combines the 3D Air Hood, Ventilation Air Purifiers, air monitors, and room controllers. The “Ventilation Air Purifier Magic Plus” system integrates the 3D Air Hood and Ventilation Air Purifier to enable unified control of indoor air quality. When cooking begins on the cooktop, the “3D Air Hood” detects the activity and starts operating, followed by the activation of the Ventilation Air Purifier’s intake mode to expel cooking fumes swiftly and maintain a pleasant kitchen environment. The air monitor allows users to track real-time indoor air quality data, including carbon dioxide levels. Subscribers to the “Ventilation Air Purifier Magic Plus” bundle receive a combined discount, making it more cost-effective than subscribing to the 3D Air Hood and Ventilation Air Purifier separately.

To celebrate the launch of its subscription services, KD Navien is hosting a promotional event starting on April 1. During the promotion, new subscribers to the 3D Air Hood service will be eligible to benefit from a 50% discount on 12 months of subscription fees. Customers who previously purchased a Ventilation Air Purifier and who are now subscribed to the 3D Air Hood will be entitled to 50% discount on the subscription fee for 12 months plus a KRW 50,000 department store gift certificate. New subscribers to the “Ventilation Air Purifier Magic Plus” service will enjoy a monthly bundled discount of KRW 3,000 along with a 50% discount on their first 12 months of subscription fees.
