[Dec. 18, 2024] KD Navien signed a business agreement with Microsoft Korea for “AI-based smart work environment creation and upgrade.” The business agreement ceremony held in the KD Navien Yeouido Office conference room on December 17 was attended by KD Navien CEO Kim Jong-wook and Corporate Vice President Rachel Bondi of Microsoft Asia as representatives.
Through this agreement, KD Navien will implement the plans to △ create a smart work environment, △ increase work efficiency through data integration and cloud transformation, and △ achieve AI-based management innovation and smart factory establishment.
First, KD Navien will create a smart work environment based on “Microsoft 365,” which is a business collaboration tool, and “Copilot,” a generative AI-based platform. KD Navien recently provided employees with training on using Microsoft software products and has been using them across all areas of business since the middle of this month.
Moving forward, KD Navien and Microsoft will promote the integrated management of online and offline data using Microsoft’s cloud computing service, Azure, as well as business process and factory automation for KD Navien through Microsoft’s large language model (LLM)-based GenAI, robotic process automation (RPA), and cloud services. In addition, the two companies have agreed to jointly explore cooperation plans in various areas including digital twins that replicate security, big data, product and facility objects, and systems in a virtual environment.
This agreement was promoted as part of KD Navien’s future strategy “3P Optimize.” KD Navien’s future strategy is aimed at presenting an optimized living environment to customers and leading its sustainable growth by “3P Optimize,” referring to personnel, process, and product. This strategy was developed based on KD Navien’s new brand identity (BI) “Optimize” and announced through the “Vision 50-50” declaration ceremony held for all employees at the end of August last year. “Optimize,“ KD Navien’s new BI, conveys the company’s commitment to providing solutions for an optimized living environment to customers and creating an optimal global environment with eco-friendly technologies including condensing and artificial soil.
“KD Navien will strive to improve business productivity through '3P Optimize' and present an optimized living environment to customers,” said KD Navien CEO Kim Jong-wook. He added, “We will achieve greater customer satisfaction through active cooperation with Microsoft Korea.”
