[April 16, 2025] Optimize Living & Environment—KD Navien has won four Winner awards in the Product category at Germany’s “Red Dot Design Award 2025.” Award-winning products include the Carboncore Navien Mat, the Navien Wall Pad series, and the Door Lock series, as well as the NWP500 heat pump water heater, which is planned for release in North America. Each product is designed to optimize living environments.

The “Red Dot Design Award,” hosted by the German Design Council, is one of the world’s top three design awards, with winners selected based on creativity, innovation, and functionality. KD Navien has previously received Winner awards from the Red Dot Design Award for products such as its condensing air conditioner, ventilation air purifier, air monitor, wall pad, and room controller.

First among the winners is the flagship product, the “Heat Pump Water Heater (NWP500).” It’s a water heater that uses the “Heat Pump” technology, which absorbs heat from air, ground, or water using electricity, and is scheduled to launch in North America in the first half of the year. KD Navien designed the Heat Pump Water Heater with maximum convenience in mind for both installers and consumers. It allows piping connections on both the top and sides, and the intake/exhaust ports have been moved from the side to the top, making installation easier even in limited spaces. A user-friendly design is another key highlight. The control panel is placed at an optimal height based on detailed analysis of average user height and line of sight, with buttons and a display designed for clear visibility and easy operation.

The “Carboncore Navien Mat” offers precise temperature control in 0.5℃ increments, creating the ideal sleep temperature while ensuring safety from electromagnetic waves and fire hazards. It stands out for its custom design that blends harmoniously with spaces like bedrooms and living rooms, creating the “perfect sleep environment.” Its round-shaped controller offers a comfortable grip, and the device uses a hidden display that activates only when touched to minimize light disturbance during sleep. The mat features a consistent warm-toned color palette that gives off a cozy and warm atmosphere.

The “Navien Wall Pad Series” includes a lineup of five smart home devices, featuring 10-inch and 13-inch wall pads. KD Navien adopted a “Hidden in Space” concept to create a design that blends effortlessly into living spaces without disrupting the flow of the space. The display activates only when needed, minimizing visual clutter, and uses a “reflective display” that doubles as a mirror, adding elegance to the space. A soft light at the bottom ensures visibility in low-light settings, automatically adjusting brightness to reduce eye strain while also offering a calm atmosphere.

The “Navien Door Lock Series” is a line of smart locks designed to harmonize with modern interiors through minimal and elegant styling. The rectangular, sharp-edged handle provides both secure grip and aesthetic consistency, with the unified design between the body and handle ensuring a sleek, minimal look. It is made from high-quality plastic for enhanced durability and features a matte finish that gives it a sleek, sophisticated appearance.
