[September 25, 2024] KD Navien will join the 17th Heating, Ai -Conditioning, Refrigeration and Fluid Exhibition - KOREA 2024 (HARFKO 2024) under the banner “Optimize Living & Environment.” The company will unveil eco-friendly, high-efficiency products such as the Condensing Hydro Furnace, Condensing Air Conditioner, and Ventilation Air Purifier, highlighting its roadmap to becoming a "global HVAC leader."
Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Industry Association, HARFKO 2024 will be held for three days starting September 25 at KINTEX in Ilsan under the theme “HVAC & Integrated Technologies: A Grand Path to the Future.” Featuring approximately 230 participants, this large-scale event will bring together industry professionals and buyers from both domestic and international markets. KD Navien’s exhibition booth will feature two zones—the Air Care Zone and the Heating Zone—each showcasing a variety of HVAC solutions designed to enhance living environments and protect the planet.
The Air Care Zone will showcase innovative indoor air quality management solutions with the "Ventilation Air Purifier" as its centerpiece. The Ventilation Air Purifier not only purifies the air but also facilitates ventilation, tackling not just particulate pollutants like fine dust but also carbon dioxide, radon, and volatile organic compounds. The Ventilation Air Purifier enables ventilation without opening windows and incorporates an energy recovery ventilator, reducing heating energy consumption by 72% and cooling energy consumption by 36% compared to natural ventilation. The booth will feature the "3D Air Hood" and "All Metal Induction" to offer advanced solutions for managing kitchen smoke and fumes. When integrated with the Ventilation Air Purifier, these two products work together as a unified system to stop kitchen smoke from spreading while managing indoor air quality.
Highlighted among the displays is the "Condensing Air Conditioner," a future technology designed for eco-friendly cooling. The Condensing Air Conditioner is an all-in-one Air Care product that provides cooling, ventilation, air purification, and dehumidification. Unlike conventional air conditioners that rely on refrigerants, this system uses a dehumidifying rotor to remove moisture and employs evaporative cooling to lower the temperature by spraying water. By leveraging various heat sources like district heating, solar energy, and fuel cells, this system is capable of reducing electricity costs by 42% compared to conventional air conditioners.
In the Heating Zone, KD Navien will showcase the "Condensing Hydro Furnace," its flagship product specifically designed for the North American market. Gas furnaces, the dominant heating method in North America, deliver air heated directly by combustion exhaust, which is very dry and can cause harmful gases to enter the room. In contrast, the Condensing Hydro Furnace heats air using warm water, eliminating safety concerns of harmful gases and providing more comfortable indoor air. A standout feature of the system is its low-vibration design that significantly reduces noise levels.
Another highlight is the "Navien Condensing ON AI," which boasts significantly enhanced hot water functionality. As its flagship feature, the "Hot Water Ready System" provides hot water in under 10 seconds—93% faster than traditional boilers—at the press of the quick button. This innovation enables a family of four to save up to 20 tons of water annually. The system also introduces the "Hot Water Ready Shower" that features a built-in valve for fast hot water access with minimal setup. The exhibit also showcases the "Navien Mat"—renowned for its "AI-driven Deep Sleep Solution," offering personalized sleep temperatures—and the "Hydrogen Condensing Boiler" as a cutting-edge innovation in sustainable energy.
“This exhibition highlights KD Navien’s leadership in eco-friendly, high-efficiency trends, showcasing the company's vision for a sustainable future. It positions us to emerge as a 'global HVAC leader,' delivering groundbreaking solutions for comfortable living,” said Kim Yong-bum, Chief Sales and Marketing Executive.
