Going beyond North America to take to the global stage
From January 25th to 27th, KD Navien participated in the ‘2016 AHR EXPO(Air-Conditioning Heating Refrigerating Exposition)’ held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
The '2016 AHR EXPO', now in its 86th year and hosted by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), is the largest expo of its kind in North America, and serves as a showcase for the latest technologies and trends in the field of air-conditioning, heating and refrigerating. More than 2,000 companies participated this year, and KD Navien marked its 9th consecutive year of participation, a first for a Korean boiler company.
KD Navien's booth at this year's show attracted much attention, and presented a lineup of products developed based on the company's proven technological prowess. This included the NPE premium condensing gas water heater line and NHB condensing boilers, all of which have been massively popular in the U.S. market. Other state-of-the-art products included the IoT-enabled condensing boiler NCB and the Navien Hybrigen SE, an electricity-generating condensing boiler. The NPE-S condensing gas water heater, an Innovation Award Winner at last year's show, attracted much interest from buyers and contractors with its extremely high 98% thermal efficiency and its ability to function smoothly under the low gas pressures in the United States.
Other booth attractions included the Navien Cascade System (http://www.cascade.co.kr/), which is gaining momentum in the U.S. market. The cascade system is a highly efficient, eco-friendly energy device designed to replace existing medium-to-large boiler systems in commercial facilities such as large hospitals or hotels by means of a parallel array of condensing water heaters and boilers. The efficiency-proven system has already been installed at key schools and commercial facilities in the United States, including Princeton University and Marriott Hotels. The system has recently been introduced to the Korean market, where it leads the domestic cascade system market. Through this year's show, KD Navien intends to further expand its presence in the U.S. market and bolster its position as global company.
